Adelaide to Jamieson, a weeks accommodation in Jamieson then day trips out to explore.
Permit required for Jamieson - Licola Rd. Did the Mt Terrible track one day and it was fine, a bit wet and slippery in spots but doable. A couple of days later it had a few inches of snow on it, not being able to see the actual track itself we decided not to go up too far. A beautiful white layer of fresh snow covering all obstacles and the edge of the track put the wind up us a bit. We were lucky with the weather having it snow almost every day down as low as 900 meters. We went for the snow and we got plenty of it. None of us had seen snow before and it blew us away. We sat there watching the snow fall covering everything in a perfect fluffy white blanket, it's a beautiful thing to behold. The tracks down lower that were open provided some good drives for us being so wet they were a lot of fun and a challenge ,some were just too wet to attempt . Sliding down a hill with no traction heading straight for a tree or the edge of the track. "no thanks" Fantastic trip and will probably do it again next year.
