SWB Auto to Manual conversion

Hey guys i have an 88 Petrol GQ SWB and the auto box in it has decided to give up and wont select 3rd, 4th or reverse so i decided i would convert it to a manual. I know i should probably put a diesel in it at the same time but im strapped for cash and just want to be able to drive my beloved shorty again.
I have looked all over the forums and cant find another swb auto to manual conversion and have a few questions.. sorry if they seem dumb, haha i am no mechanic.
Will a gearbox and transfer case out of a wagon or ute fit in the swb?
Are the mounts the same?
i know this is a question on every conversion thread but apart from the clutch gear what else will i need?
i need to make a list and get onto it asap because it kills me seeing her parked up looking sad. :(

What motor is in it ? If you have theTB 42 read the post i replyed to. I was told I would need new tail shafts but there the same size so is the gearbox.
