I'm trying to buy a 2 inch King Springs lift kit from ebay for my 99 GU Y61 2.8 Nissan Patrol. Below is the title on ebay for the kit I want but when I enter my patrol details on there website it says my patrol is not compatible with this kit.

2" 50mm Suspension Lift Kit Nissan Patrol GU Y61 Coil Springs 35m HD Shocks

Can anyone see an issue with installing this kit on my patrol. I just don't want to buy a kit that wont fit but I cant see why this would not fit.

Thanks

I guess the question I'm really getting at is will a kit saying it would fit GU Y61 patrols fit all GU patrols with coil springs and shockies or are springs different for different year models and engine sizes?

Thanks Dales. I just bought the kit. I couldn't see a reason it wouldn't fit.

Not sure about that kit for you mate. I have had a good look at the add and there are a couple of questions I would have for the seller. I would contact them on Monday before they dispatch and clarify and maybe they can sort out a different spring for you.

Questions are:

The compatable list only lists Cab Chassis so these springs are for a coil cab Ute. The front springs will be the same but I can't imagine the weight rating for a Coil cab and a wagon would be the same????

Down the bottom it then says suitable for +200kg suitable for Ute and Wagon?? I simply can't see how that might be right??

Without going to the ARB catalogue and checking part numbers I would doubt that anyone would list a rear spring for a wagon and a ute as the same item? A Ute weighs way way way less when empty??

A Ute weighs way way way less when empty??

Yes but they still need load carrying capacity when loaded.

Yes but they still need load carrying capacity when loaded.

Yeah I agree, wondered about that but the curb weight should be heaps lighter? Surely? I am guessing though .

Mine is about 2-2.2 depending on fuel load. And we the coil cabs have a GVM the same if not similar to the wagons.

The add said suits 97-2006 LWB wagon and ute.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I have emailed the seller this morning and told them the model of my patrol and suggested maybe the rear springs may not be for my wagon. I did point out that the ad does say it suits wagons as well.
If these springs are just for utes would they just be a lot stronger?
As you can see I'm still learning as I build up my patrol slowly.

I have the King Springs and will put them in next weekend.
The rear springs that arrived are KDPR 43HD. I really hope these will be ok for my 2.8L GU. On the kings website it does say for GQ LWB wagons and GU tray backs. GQs are about 100kg lighter I've read.
Does anyone have these springs in a GU?
