Pizza night menu plan at AB's - 31st May

Ok, the pizza night is next weekend....I have not done a thing yet but I need to know what type of pizza's you and your family will want so I can get it organised accordingly this week.

Please note: Winnie will be at my place at 7am to start on in installing the aux tanks on both of our vehicles. Anyone is welcome to attend at that time and help out if they want...cough cough BA and Mudrunner...lol

Below is the menu plan of the evening so please check it out below and vote above for what you and your family will want. It's a multiple choice so tick accordingly to how many people you are bringing.

Note: These pizza's are only the size of a GU 3litre airbox and a thin base so you can easily whip down two or 3 pizzas to be satisfied. Kids properly only need 1.

We will be cooking dozens of them all night and each grabbing slices all night but I just need to know what ingredients to get and how many ....ish.....




AB Special = prosciutto, goat cheese, olive oil and basil.
Crapricciosa = Hot salami, garlic, mushrooms, black olives, anchovies, olive oil and cheese.
Whoweyan = Ham, Pineapple, cheese
CFood = marinara sauce, anchovies, seafood mix (calamari, baby octopus, prawns, etc)
Vegedelight = Egg Plant thinly sliced, mushrooms, thinly sliced pumpkin, rocket and cheese
Meat lover = Hot salami, ham, mushrooms, bacon, onion and cheese


Note: I am only cooking a few pizzas and then I want everyone to start making concoctions all night so anything really does go but just need an idea on taste buds in order of how much I need to buy of what ingredients.

There is a poll above so please vote accordingly.

If you and your family need to choose the same one twice just let me below.

Also, just choose about 2 or 3 for adults and maybe 1 for young kids.

Ok, I know it's really tempting to press buttons for anyone else who is not coming but please do not vote if you are not coming...lol....Yes Benny I am talking to you...lol

Any other ideas and other ingredients I have not mentioned above then also let me know. I am dieing a slow death here with a cold so I am not thinking straight!!!

The inner shell has ciment fondu...I am "mostly" confident it will be ok.

I did a lot of research on these earth ovens and they all crack and expand and contract, etc.

It's only clay and sand.

Bloody Hell AB, looks pretty gourmet, not sure if Christmas Hills is used to this, sounds pretty good.

Ok, I am flat out tomorrow and need a list to literally walk into the IGA and follow.

Below is my rushed list and quantity.

If I have stuffed anything up, less or more needed please let me know.

3 x packs of prosciutto
Bottle of olive oil - put in squirt bottles
Basil - I have a plant outside
150mm thick of hot salami sliced
Crushed garlic jar
2 x paper bags full of mushrooms
Jar of black olives
Anchovies - Try and find a big container, if not 3 x smaller ones
3 or 4 x big pack of cheese - mozza and pizza cheese
2 x big tins of pineapple
4 to 5 big hand fulls of shredded ham
2 x marina sauce jars
2 x bags of mixed seafood
Goat cheese - thats a killer - I might have to mix up goat and fetta...lol
Eggplant - 2 or 3 - Will soak in salt water overnight - comes up a treat for pizzas
Not sure on pumpkin anymore - will grab a butternut anyway but the vege one would be better with salt soaked eggplant and semi sun dried tomatos I think and cheese
2 x tubs of semi sundried tomoatos
big bag of rocket
20 rations of bacon
3 to 4 onions
Eggs - I have a gazzilion
a few capsicums
Tomatoes


Note: These are not your usual westernized pizza pies...Less is better but we eat more pizzas all night...lol

My oven will be 550 degrees inside. The door is where we will be cooking and that is at least 400-500 degrees Celsius.

Trust me old mate, this the pinnacle of eating pizza!

Wafer Thin bases, minimal ingredients (2 to 3 ideal) only thinly placed around.

1.5 minutes in oven, rotate 180 and another 1.5.

Pizza done....next pizza!!!

We are going to have a steam train of people making all types of concoctions and we will all experiment with weird flavours and sometimes you create awesome recipes that you try and remember...lol

But yes, you can have nice pizzas on minimal toppings..
Prosciutto and blue cheese with garlic oil base sauce....
Or marinated lamb, roasted pumpkin, Greek yoghurt, pine nuts and feta...

Orrrrrr... Nutella base, marshmallows and white chocolate.... Finished with a dollop of whipped cream...

Back home finally and all sorted for tomoz hopefully gents!

Absolutely cleaned out the supermarket of their pizza cheese, feta, anchovies, shredded ham etc...

This is going to sound funny but if anyone wants to drink water whilst you are here then please bring your own.

Long story short my tanks ran dry over summer and it sucked up the clay silt from the bottom of tanks and they are stuck in the pipes under the house.

Toilet, showers etc all fine, I do drink it but I recommend bringing your own drinking water just in case.

Looking forward to it gents!!!

We had a great time. Trip home was great lil one crashed not long after we got out of your driveway hahaha.

Was a great night. Pizzas were FANTASTIC. Cook so quick I couldn't believe how easy it was.

Thanks so much to Jonathan and Rossco for helping us with installing the tanks, would have taken so long without all your help.
Pizzas of course were incredible! Literally 2 minutes to cook each pizza and there was always a pizza in the oven, unreal!

Yeah a bloody good night it was. Pizzas were beyond I ever thought. Even the first one I made for my kids which was just ham, capsicum, pineapple, cheese and a tomato base was far beyond any pizza of that type I have ever had.
A big thank you to AB for making the time and effort to getting all the ingredients. My wife had a great time too, she really enjoyed her first outing with the group and enjoyed meeting new people. My kids loved it too.
That pizza oven is bloody awesome. Something I want in my next house for sure.
I didn't take any pics, but it was a great night, great to meet a few new members too, to those who missed out. Suffer in your jocks!

Ok, the pizza night is next weekend....I have not done a thing yet but I need to know what type of pizza's you and your family will want so I can get it organised accordingly this week.

Please note: Winnie will be at my place at 7am to start on in installing the aux tanks on both of our vehicles. Anyone is welcome to attend at that time and help out if they want...cough cough BA and Mudrunner...lol

Below is the menu plan of the evening so please check it out below and vote above for what you and your family will want. It's a multiple choice so tick accordingly to how many people you are bringing.

Note: These pizza's are only the size of a GU 3litre airbox and a thin base so you can easily whip down two or 3 pizzas to be satisfied. Kids properly only need 1.

We will be cooking dozens of them all night and each grabbing slices all night but I just need to know what ingredients to get and how many ....ish.....




AB Special = prosciutto, goat cheese, olive oil and basil.
Crapricciosa = Hot salami, garlic, mushrooms, black olives, anchovies, olive oil and cheese.
Whoweyan = Ham, Pineapple, cheese
CFood = marinara sauce, anchovies, seafood mix (calamari, baby octopus, prawns, etc)
Vegedelight = Egg Plant thinly sliced, mushrooms, thinly sliced pumpkin, rocket and cheese
Meat lover = Hot salami, ham, mushrooms, bacon, onion and cheese


Note: I am only cooking a few pizzas and then I want everyone to start making concoctions all night so anything really does go but just need an idea on taste buds in order of how much I need to buy of what ingredients.

There is a poll above so please vote accordingly.

If you and your family need to choose the same one twice just let me below.

Also, just choose about 2 or 3 for adults and maybe 1 for young kids.

Ok, I know it's really tempting to press buttons for anyone else who is not coming but please do not vote if you are not coming...lol....Yes Benny I am talking to you...lol

Any other ideas and other ingredients I have not mentioned above then also let me know. I am dieing a slow death here with a cold so I am not thinking straight!!!
