View Full Version : Adding extra aerial mount on bull bar

I need to add an extra mount on my arb bull bar for my fancy sat phone aerial.

Can't believe this bar only has one mount.

I could however mount it on one of the spot light mounts but having an aerial mounted in the middle of the bar may cause issues?

Anyways, main question...

Majority of the added accessory mounts you can buy these days are simply U channel with slots cut out and some thin hose clamps which doesn't fill me with confidence in reliability!

Has anyone used these or how have you added more mounts on your bars for aerials?

Could that present be transferred to me next weekend for some cuddles?

I got one of the stainless steel GME ones and its pretty good

Just make sure you measure your bars diameter properly

bloodyaussie - how far apart do you have the antennas -if the antennas are too close it will affect you radioation partern and can result in higher VSWR.

I always have a good laugh when i see 4wd with the 2 antennas jiust about touching.
