Hi guys, new to 4x4ing about to buy a patrol, I live up north of Adelaide, where should I go that isn’t too challenging but will be fun, I have done beach driving in my old Pajero, looking to tackled something a bit more challenging.

You could give Loveday4x4 (http://www.loveday4x4adventures.com/)park a go. Great place with different difficultie tracks to see what you and your truck are capable of

Should of asked:
How far north of Adelaide? Just past Gepps Cross/south of Elizabeth?
How far are you prepared to travel/overnight stay etc?
All affects your options.

The back door mate.. Remember where I live. That is why most is only 2 1/2 hrs away. Ok Beltana is a bit further.

Add:
There are more but hard to keep track of. Eg, Beltana Station has a track or two and also forgot Skytrek, and a few down Wilpena Pound way.

Yea, I do miss that country.
One minute your driving in lush green scrub, then next it desert...
