This is certainly a very nice place to go.
The camping areas are very large and tracks all over the place.
there's a few camping areas around this forest.

last year, I was lucky enough to be talking to an old timer, who was there when the logging company's cleared the area in 1962, so he told me.
We also met a young family there, Mum had been going there for over 20 yrs, since she was a child.
Mum showed us that bute little watering hole the boys were boiling the billy round.

Its a top hole to swim in in summer.
creek is just about fully in the shade, even in summer it's very cool in.
The broken bridge log crossing was bull dosed and track diverted late last yr.
that tree the boys drove under has also been pushed away with the doser we suspect, it's down the bank now. the track into that area has been graded but it's certainly a track still.

the camp grounds are tent city over long weekends.
but after public hol has finished it all the room you want.
Coachwood area where the boys camped is family orientated has a noise curfew 10pm-7am.
Frying-pan camp site, other side of creek no such restrictions.
Can't wait to go back.

Roothys cooking stump is behind the black car.
The fat feller is me and my g/daughter playing in cool creek water, only 10mtrs from our tent.
That water hole is at far end of 2nd pic.
Me jumping in roothys water hole on a a dare (pretending I'm 20 again).

Its a state forest area, rotationally logged.
Plenty of logging access tracks in the area.

I have a few track pics somewhere, can't put my finger on em.
