Hi all reading an old 4x4 mag as you do and came across an article on the ECU-Talk diagnostic device.
It will fit any Nissan with a 14pin grey female connector near the drivers side fuse box.
It's not suitable for all Nissan 4x4s ,how ever it will suit electronicall-injected GQs as well as
TB45E, RD28ETi, TD42Ti and the ZD30 DiD. Also suits the Pathfinder VG33E if that's your second car.
RRP then was $255 plus post, I have one fitted and very handy when you know whats what.
On the weekend I kept hearing an alarm and couldn't for the life in me figure it out.
I brought mine off Yendor and seems he set a high speed alarm on it, lol not high enough it seems.
Boost is accurate to my gauge, but speedo reading is 6k out at 100ks but I'll check that against a gps soon.
Every ZD30 owner should buy one , just to correct any errors that may spring up.
Well worth $255 IMO but check on pricing as 4x4 book is one year old

how did you find your speed reading ???

I find it reads about 2-4km slower than what I'm actually doing. This is compared to using a gps app on my phone.

You can increase your speed reading through options - units - I think i put mine on 105% and its pretty accurate now. You can also set all your alarms figures through there

there was no mention of the 4.2 in the article,
