Hi all

I am about to do my first oil change since I brought the troll. From reading on the forum, most people tend to use either
Dello 400 multigrade or Penrite HPR.

I am interested in hearing from people who have tried both and which they prefer to use and reasons why

I am driving 2007 3.0L Y61CRD Patrol.

Thanks in advance

BigNEV

not sure if the CrD is more suited to one oil and the DiD to another
maybe this thread will see a pattern evolve

I want to start using Penrite 10-40 semi synthetic for a 02 gu zd30 Di, since engine change its only had Nissan oil in it 10-40 semi synthetic, so hoping the change to penrite will be no probs? Any thoughts on the Penrite oil?

I am using Penrite synthetic, no problems and does not use oil, next change I might use the Valvoline syngard just to try it.

TD42i - Penrite 15-50 Semi synthetic. Have never found a convenient nearby place to buy Delo 400 when I’ve needed oil. 5000k changes

ZD30DI - Dello 400. Change every 6 months . KM's anywhere from 3000 to 7000 it just depends how much I use it , and I have a provent catch can fitted I reckon it catches 200 to 500 ml of oil residue in the 6 month period , this depends on the km's done also .

Was talking to a Pentrite rep about the 5-40 diesel oil and asked if 10-40
would suit my motor better as it now has 215Ks on it.
His answer was if its not using oil or leaking then continue to use 5-40 which I do.

All oil changes in Patrol done today, All Penrite oil, engine 10-40w semi synthetic HPR 10, seems to sound and run a bit smoother than the Geniune Nissan oil..
