Hot Free wheeling Hubs

Hi all,
I have noticed that my free wheeling hubs get very hot. Is this normal

Check your wheel bearings to make sure they are not over tightend, but more than likely just heat from the brakes transfering.

I know for a fact the bearing are not over tight as a wheel alignment place told me i need to adjust them.
So you reacon it just due to the breaks. After stopping everything cools down including the brakes, but the hubs take so long to cool down.

I've noticed the same thing on my GU and on my brothers 4WD Navara. The hubs are a fairly thick lump of steel/aluminium with a small surface area so will take longer to cool down than the brakes with their large surface area.
