Gu turbo timer issues

Hey guys
Just bought a cheap turbo timer and had a mate chuck it in for me hen the car shuts down at the key all Acc turn off but car continues to run is this normal? I was under the impression everything ran until time was up

Also after a turbo timer shut down the sub tank light is on after the next start and i cant use my sub tank if i do the negitive disconect for 30 mins then reconnect the light goes out until i start again after a turbo timer controlled shut down....

Any ideas?
