I am also a Sparkie, in the Fire Protection industry, and up to last year used to look after Tassie and would be there 4 times a year .....

Who were you working for? ..... IFE, BSH, Russell Smith, Chubb .....

You could try Peter Brumby from IFE, I presume you would know Rob from Wormald, Chris Jones at BSH, and I am not sure about PSG anymore as Mr Lake has moved on to a different company, Associated Fire.

I have some other contacts if you need some names to ring......

I didn't know WmC had an office in Launceston, as I normally dealt with Sam or Keith in Hobart.

It is tough at the moment .. although I havent been there for over a year, it was quiet back then, so people arent hiring unless someone good leaves.....and I dont think it has changed too much in the last year.

Interesting that Keith has left ... he was always flat out when I dropped in to see him, and I couldnt see him finding another job like the one he had.

Have you tried Contact Electrical, or IFE?

I remember now that WmC owned Associated Fire, now that you reminded me.....

They must have thought they could make it work, but obviously not enough projects around to make it viable .....
