Nice enough place well worth a visit, a lot of the surrounding area is National park so you need to follow the rules is all.
4WD stuff depends how far you wander/explore as there is plenty to see down that way but around peacful itself is mainly sand
The Bibbulmun Walk Track goes thru there so most of the 4WD tracks closer to Peacful Bay are "in and out" to the coast or along the beach and a few are no entry but signed.

When passing through that area we camped at Parry’s Inlet, there is a low cost campground there, with toilets, water & solar showers. Fishing was quite good, I got the only King George Whiting I’ve ever caught there (Yum). We were not in a 4wd, but had trail bikes to get around on, & the only 4wd track we came across was between the highway & Boat Harbour, a bit west of Parry’s inlet. Narrow, very sandy track, but really only needed 4wd for the last 5kms or so. Nice spot at Boat Harbour (which isn’t a harbour). Watched a seal playing in the waves & sea foam for a while. Track in is signposted 4wd only.
