vrods 2002 ZD30 wagon and surf

Recently purchased a 2002 GU. Chose the GU because we were looking at those and 80 series as the gf wanted a bigger vehicle :thumbup: but chose the later model vehicle. Have previously been a toyota man but have always liked the GUs. It is pretty stock for the moment, has a bit of a lift, Dick Cepec tyres (prob not for long), snorkle and thats just about it! Also has a reco engine as it went bang, so the mods are on the to do list in the very near future, but I have to get the gf out of it first!

and the surf, it has a Lexus 1UZFE quad cam V8 with matching auto, auto locker front, air locker rear, cruiser coils, bj spacers, body lift, 33" Khumo KL71 on 15x8 Magnums, that sort of stuff!

not quite, it is a jackeroo bumper, because it was in dads shed and the price was right! and it fit up very easily. sticks out the front a bit tho..

got these yesterday, boost and pyro gauges, pillar pod and precut tint from the states, $85! bit sceptical but will see how it goes.

Lookin good love those pilar pods, the autometer gauges lok the goods too. I've got vdo gauges which don't look as cool. Keep the photos coming mate.

went for a test drive today. geez it'll boost! if I hadn't been reading forums i would have freaked out when it peaked about 25psi! its all over the place, i guess that is how they are?

got a little (large) package today, 3" exhaust :p
will get fitting for pyro probe welded in tomorrow and get it fitted sat. should be good!

Oh yeah!!!! Let that big boy breathe!! You'll never stop now you realise! Once it's got a bit more throat, you'll want to deck it out top to bottom!!! Look forward to the updates as you go.

got the scotts rods system, because its all about the benjamins! to a certain extent anyway. I though it was worth a try. needed the pyro probe fitted so thought i might as well get a real exhaust to fit it to. tomorrows job, hope these bolts undo!!!

very nice buddy, GU that is but I do have a soft spot for smurfs, nearly bought one myself, and im not shy to say on a patrol site, love the smurf too buddy, very nice toy.
I will prob' end up in the bad corner for that remark.........lol
