GU 3.0 Di Auto for towing

Wondering if anyone had any experience with towing heavier loads with the RE4 Auto Im looking at 2 horses so would be up near the rated 2500 kg ? any thoughts ? Overdrive off ?

I know nothing about these cars but if doesn't already I would suggest a auto trans cooler. Hope someone else can help.
