If you have a leafy and follow them coily trucks you may have smashed your spring hangers. Mine got bent real bad and needed some encouraging back into shape. Kept looking for bigger hammers.
So I made these...

Most will fab from some 6mm flat but the same idea, like a mini slider good job

Cuppa, I'm gunna have to find someone else's tub of scrap steel. Mines looking sort of empty.

If its not too much trouble can a mod fix my spelling mistake please.

Fixed the title for your Macca, how did you attach them?? Good idea though.

They are held on by a single M12mm HT bolt through the bottom of the chassis, the nut has a bit of wire welded to it to hold it in place via that hole in the chassis side. The wire has broken off the RHS one.
2 10mm 75mm plates welded make the top bit and a large hole is drilled in the lower piece to fit the bolt and socket. The lowest piece with the folded sides (5 or 6mm) covers the lot and is held in place with M8 HT countersunk bolts.
The weight will be on the front against the chassis and both sides of the hanger. Have seen scratches on them but no real hard test has been done yet.
