spark plugs

HI guys
how often would u recommend changing the plugs on a GU ST 4.5 AUTO WAGON i run on petrol when low on gas,they tell me you should give,m a run on a regular basis to keep a bit of lube up
its been 6months since i put new ones in,i havnt checked them yet,bugger of a job im a tad short one end and the step keeps nicking of

Regular spark plugs on a well tuned vehicle should last 40-50,000km. Platinum plugs are supposed to be good for 100,000km and iridium plugs 150,000km.
