Hey guys

So I'm from coffs area and heading up to nerang in qld
Over Christmas an my cousins been nagging me to take
Him out while up there and teach him how to drive pretty much
Anyone know any rather easy tracks that would be good for
Him to learn on?
He's got a stock tritan and hasn't done any 4wdriving before
So if anyone knows any easy tracks round nerang that'd be awesome
Cheers
Josh

There's some track in the dirty weekends book that runs up near mt tambourine .. Not done it myself but if its in that book it will be good for beginners but sounds like a nice drive

Its a pretty good drive nothing difficult , the kids love it as they get to feed the birds and do the tree top walk in the rain forest , keeps them happy and its 4wd to go that way so I'm happy

Turn off birds road and up caballo rd and that goes up to mount tamborine way, quite an easy track

Or there is some tracks just behind pacific pines. You enter via smith st just near pitcairn way, there are some mud holes and some harder tracks in there

Last time we went to ormeau we got kicked out and warned not to go in, y ou can drive along the fire roads but any old 2wd car could get along that

Thanks mate, I was going to suggest that too...lol

When the videos grow it should hopefully be a good resource for checking out different areas.

Try Wongawallan rd running from yallanbe estate up the hill to tambourine mountain. It barely requires locking hubs but can be slippery in the rain and washed out.
Scenic Rim 4wd park is fun only about an hour west of Nerang just past Beaudesert.
You could drive south to one of the state forests near murwillumbah if you like to get muddy too.
There are very few legal places to play these days sadly around the GC.

Just checking is the caballo rd track still open and can you get to tambourine that way , the mrs wants to go up their tomorrow . I'd rather go by dirt thsn bitumen
