Ms Gillard and now former prime minister Kevin Rudd exit politics confident they are eligible for a parliamentary pension for life worth around $150,000 a year. They can also take new jobs and earn lucrative speakers fees on top of this amount.

That $3000 per week...

Personally I don't agree with that.
Seems a unfair in a matter of speaking.
Because of my situation, I don't even see near that a month...

Yea it is BS. I've never liked it. And Gillard bloody upped it all threw her time.
No wonder why we're farked as a country.
Should be 10 years service like the rest of us minimum for a nice reward, not lifetime..

So Captain Krudd who's wife is worth millions, kicks back whilst we foot the bill.

I don't care what side politics any one is on. If you or I got sacked after 3 years in our job, nobody is going to support us for the rest of our life.
