Hi

Got myself an 89 GQ Patrol (rare find here) that is leaf sprung. I've managed to track down a coil sprung front end and have started the changeover, however I can't find a rear assembly so I want to try to 4 link it but it appears I need to fabricate all the mounts - no big deal as I have fab experience. What I'd like to know is, if I choose to remove the panhard rod by having the uppers at a 45 degree angle, have others found this to improve lateral support enough or would it be better if I increase the angle of the upper arms. How do you guys find the roll steer from the rear using a single triangulation setup.

I don't understand these vehicles and need some guidance on how to position the arms to get the best suspension geometry for both onroad handling and offroad performance.
