Understand mate, no probs, more chance of finding something to test out the KMs on straddie tho (he-he)

As for sand driving, just let your tyres down to 20 PSI (or lower if its real soft) , and try not to spin the wheels, have faith in your Patrol , it will eat it up and get you anywhere you need to go !

And for the record, unless a trip is posted as a "boys" weekend (lucky if thats once a year), it will be 100% a family friendly trip, all of the regular trip goers i can think of, all have great wives and partners, they welcome any new faces with open arms. :smiley_thumbs_up:

Yes, you can buy bags there, but suggest you bring some, as no trees anywhere on the island are for keeping warm !

Yes Steve, Dogs are allowed when camping at Flinders Beach, however they must be on a lead at all times. 2 dogs maximum per campsite applies.

I know the Island quite well, and can take you on a few cool tracks some people may not even know about. :p

Both are fine, Flinders has easy camp site access when towing, but for only one night, i would just tent it, as you will have to pay extra for a trailer on the car ferry.

We are taking the tent , at $30 a meter it is bit expensive to take the camper , kids will be a bit cramped , but I'm only 10 min to the barge and 10 min to flinders , it will be the first time the roof rack has been used for anything other then some were to put the awing !

When I was doing outdoor events, I could have $20G+ of A/V equipment outside, so good weather prediction was more than important, I found they got it right more often than normal BOM forecast, even though they use info from the BOM (go figure ?)
