Hey just wondering if anyone could help I have a 2006 GU ZD30 with a dp chip and three inch exhaust fitted it seems to blowing a fair bit of black smoke when I accelerate and lacking in power still I was thinking of fitting a egr plate to see if this helped

First thing I would do is fit boost and pyro gauges to give you an idea of what the engine is doing.
How is the black smoke and flat spotting with the chip disconnected?

Pyro gauge is an exhaust gas temperature (EGT) gauge. If you are blowing black smoke then your EGT's are probably up. Excessive EGT's will quickly damage an engine that's why the pyro gauge is so important.
Chips like the DP chip work by altering injection timing and fuel quantity injected. Some of the better chips may also increase turbo boost. Black smoke indicates either excess ful or insufficient air in the cylinder.
