Hi all, I'm thinking about fitting a Nomad valve body and a bigger oil cooler from wholesale automatics. I do a lot of towing with a camper trailer or 2000kg Pop top van and the oil temp can hit 125 degrees up hill or in soft sand. I have a lock up switch fitted which works really well on the flat.
I'm would love a have a little move drive out of the gearbox as at the moment i put my foot into it all i get is a lot of revs !

So has anyone out there had a nomad fitted and are they as good as they say ?

Cheers Jimbo

Hi Jimbo, Theres been a lot said about the Nomad that you'll find if you use the search function.

But i will say i have one fitted and while i dont tow at all Ive found it to be absolutely awesome! I have a TB42 GQ and it shifts like a sports car lol. Short sharp and fast gear shifts both up and down. It also helps give more engine breaking on down hills or manual down shifts.

Money really well spent in my opinion:)
