For unforseen circumstances I have been asked to drive a work vehicle (4x4 V8 troopy I know I know) from Broken Hill down to Adelaide and then up to Uluru via Oodnadatta Track, I have only been given 4 days notice, and I only have an on road trailer atm that i'm going to have to take.
Are most of the dirt roads out there suitable enough for an on road trailer?

its a 5 lane HWY mate! as long as the graders have been down you will do 100km/h easily.

Yes it will be fine....

You can always cut through to the Stuart Hwy at Cooper Pedy, if you are getting too worried about the trailer but these roads are travelled by 2wd's....

Main HWY to the towns handle Road trains the lot ,Give Road train the respect they deserve.
Be wary of bull dust holes[Normally marked with star pickets]. lower tyre pressures and drive to conditions
Avoid driving at night for animal strikes
