Yarra Glen 4x4 Swap Meet cancelled

I just found out the swap meet for this year at Yarra Glen is cancelled and probably not going to happen ever again!

With the likes of Gumtree and Ebay, facebook, etc the stall holders have dwindled away over the years and it has not been profitable.

Bugger, I liked going down there so close to home!!!

@ AB what my club does is have a boots and bonnet day,
As everyone is forever updating camping equipment, driving lights etc, tyres you name it
they set aside a sunday where all meet and compare and look at what others have done to their 4x4s.
Plus assisted by a sausage sizzle, raises a few bucks as well.

Yea we have a couple starting up around town and they are using FB as free advertising..
Atm the organisers are just covering grounds costs at $5 a park but it seems to be working..

But a bummer nether the less that your local one has stopped..
