2002 4.2Ti engine light and sometimes glow plug light comes on, sometimes combined with no AC and engine out of time, had fuel pump rebuilt with new TCV fitted, is it the ECU? where is it? Help

As said above always nice to post an intro before asking questions.

If the engine light is coming on the first thing you need to do is get the engine codes checked. Check this thread for more info; http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/showthread.php?595-Reading-and-erasing-GU-Patrol-fault-codes&highlight=engine+codes

I'm not sure what you mean by "engine out of time"? Are you referring to a miss fire and if so when and how often does it happen? It could be that there is air getting into the fuel system, check the fuel pipes on the back of the injector pump and at the injectors to make sure they are tight. Check the fuel filter to make sure it is correctly fitted and tight. If the fault has only started occuring since the injector pump was rebuilt this would be a good place to start looking.
