Many many of you have one of these fitted to your cars now and when I first asked about them it was a bit of a fight over nothing as I asked for some battle scar pics.....

I have had mine on for over a year now and I think I have bought 3 or 4 of them in total as they are the perfect gift for your Patrol mate!!

Mine has held up well and my pumpkin would have dents in it for sure by now specially after the Woods Point trip?? AB suffered damage on that trip and again just recently and only a few weeks ago finally got one!!!

This is one of the best mods you can do to your ride and I highly recommend for those that like the tougher stuff.. Thanks Mal for such a top product mate!!!!

We see it has worked well on your ride-on mower - now whack it on the Patrol and see how it goes ..... :hpfredgeorge1:

I saw this guard off BA's car and its taken a good beating. I wonder what his diff would be like if he didn't have it. I'd love to get one, but with my gearbox playing funny buggers and now I have to replace my headlights, RHS got a hole in it and LHS rear globe clip snapped off, I need to get new lights. :(

Try Patrolapart in Lilydale, as they have cheap (in price) aftermarket rear lights, and I would think that they would have headlights too...

SSS should have trol head lights mate, last time i got some for my vl a few years ago they where $55 each. They're Taiwanese but the quality is pretty good.

Yeah I was trying to hold off as I want to do the Projector and HID conversion, if I were to upgrade the lights. But with the gearbox like it is, now the lights are busted. I don't want to buy the lights, put them in my car, then later down the track pull them put again to do the upgrade. Kinda wanted to do it all in one shot.
Plus Depo is the only brand of aftermarket light I would really want to buy...

Edit : Sorry for getting OT. Seems I'm always the culprit for this lately....MAL ROCKS! BA you need to buy me one for a present. Because like you said...

Irish lay on the ground with me for 3 days working on my car doing the clutch so I bought him one as a thank you present and the others were for another ex mate who paid for his own after I told him all about them..

Mal is a top bloke and he makes these here and the money stays here.... wish he would make those Hard noses again though... I really want one of those..!!!

SSS sell depo branded lights, you could get the later model lights with the clear glass lens for your projector upgrade?!

how well do these protect the diff drain plug? looks like it doesnt cover it? or does it?
Do they still get smashed into oblivion?

Cheers, Andy

Pretty unlucky to smash the drain plug. Mal leaves it open for access.

One of the best bit of protective kit you can fit under your car... we have guys on here who have damaged there pumpkins in a bad way but I know of none since fitting one of these guards!!!!

But it is protected somewhat?
I destroy my drain plug a bit further everytime I wheel

Yep, the guard surrounds the area of the plug which would deflect rocks and logs a lot more than nothing.

If you wanted extra protection for the plug you can weld on a bit of tube on the diff.

They are certainly strong.
As I would have done terrible damage to my front diff at our Knockwood meet, had it not been for the HH diff guard.

The car just bounced off the rocks and only slightly bent it.
