now that i got your attention, let's go play in 2wd, follow me an i'l gladly shout you a rum

ok here it is,

back in march of 1989, nissan motors rolled a silver GQ out of the factory, this one little different from the rest. it came out with a td42 and 5 speed just like so many others, but it also came with the factory rear diff lock and stabiliser release. ok still doesn't sound too different, well try this, it had 7 seats, carpet, and the nice seats trim option. it had the 4 speaker stereo system wth electric antena. it was made to be a family tourer right from the start. the off road options and th creature comforts all rolled into one, a great start.

well that wasnt good enough, it now hasa 6.2 litre V8 diesel under the hood mated to the nissan 5 speed.
it still has he factory diff lock, but the disconnects are now superior engineering. the inside has changed too, it now only has 5 seats (still the nicecloth ones) and vinyl flooring. the interior panels are aluminium checkerplate. it has an extra overhead console for the 2way and a few other goodies inside.
it has a 2" lift and superior super flex arms up front.
warn top mount winch tucked nicely in the nissan winch bar, with plenty f light facing forward.
other improvements have been, tyres of various makes, usually 33". recovery points, long range tank, roofracks, rock sliders, in fact the list goes on.

it is one ofthe flexi-est 2" lifted GQ's around combine that with a rear diff lock and the big V8 diesel, now lets go play in 2wd!!

just after i got it

Tony
tough dog springs tough dog foam cell shocks, the shocks are my limiting factor, longer shocks and i'd get a lot more flex, i'm looking at changing my towers up front and increasing my bump stops so i get more flex
