Hey folks,

I just got a new uhf antenna as the old one was dodgy and didnt work properly. Now heres where the problem lies, new antenna installed through the car fine, hook it up to the uhf, go to mount the UHF, the cable is actually gettting squashed by the aircon duct behind it.

So, how do you guys deal with this?? Or am i just unlucky that my uhf is to big?

I have ordered a right angle fitting but its still a few weeks away.

PS. UHF is a newish oricom single din installed in the factory headunit hole.

Cheers guys

You don't want it squashing, crushing, or any sharp kinks in the coax. A heat gun could be used to soften and slightly squash the aircon duct. Not too much though.

go with your original plan and get a right angle connector.
