Gday.

I went down to Noosa today to watch a mate of mine race. The weather wasnt that great but it made for close racing as the road was wet and dry in places.
My mate and his Dad race an 80 series land cruiser. The motor makes about 700hp but it weighs 2.6 ton. It still a ripper of a rig even though its a toyota. To put it into perspective there was a dodge viper there that completed the course in 70 second and the cruiser did it in 74. Not bad at all
Ther was a mix of cars from a 1930's racer with a side valve V8 to open wheelers and lamborgini's
The lambo is a targa tasmania winning car, its a pity the new owner cant drive as his times were SLOWER!!!!!!!!!!!than the landcruiser.

There isnt very many places to spectate from but here is a few pics and vids.
Cheers

Yeah it gets up and boogies alright. Its a bit inhibited due to the gearbox being standard ratio. But once its going 100kmh to 200kmh is quicker than 0 to 100kmh.
