I have purchaced a set of Old man emu LTR's and wanted to know where do you mount the remote canister??

Tried doing a search and cant find anything.

Should I also trim the bump stop so as to not let the same impact happen again with the rear shock.

Will take some pics as I go.

Trim the rear bump stop on the diff housing and mount the remote reservoir on top of the front spring, there should be 4 holes on there already i think. Not sure in the rear especially with your long range sub tank taking up alot of space.

I always thought the cannister mounted inside on the inner guard
MR may have better idea of installation
Are you doing heaps of corrigations soon ??????

There are some very good pics of the bump stop plate cut in my build thread somewhere. Ill see if I can find them on my phone and post them up for you mate.

The front remotes can be mounted on top of the spring tower no probs. if you don't have brackets then just drill boles in the tower cap and thread zip ties through. ;)

The rears I thread up and over the chassis cross member in front of the fuel tank and tied them together then tied them the the chassis cross over. They are right out of the way and very difficult to see there too.

Feel free to give me a bell Jonathan.

Yep as you say Tony have to go the chop mate, Shame i did not get a heads up on that or it would have been done at the fit up.

Had to race to finish so I could spend 5 min out in the world with the family so did not have time to finish off the remote placement.

Here are a few pics I took while working today.. my peddars shock was more rooted than I realised.

Yeah pretty good hey Daz... $1800 worth of shocks for $265 all because he did the add all wrong and because you and Benny told me to look for this type of gear.

I will pop into ARB in the morning to find out where they mount the reservoir in the fronts as It does not seem right on my one.

I did cut the bump spot back so as to minimize the risk of this happening again?

Thanks again for your help I am so happy with this gear!!!

One on it's own is fairly useless, but the pair you should be able to offload - someone will want them.

As for the shocks Boots do you want them mate?

If you do then say the word mate and they are yours.

Just got back from Toorak and other places and I must say I love my new shocks... bloody brilliant.

ARB were no help at all except to tell me just bolt them where they will fit?

The next test will be to see how they go in the bush, but at this early stage I could not be happier.

I know I said it before but Thanks to Ben and Daz for pointing me in the right direction as I dont think the shocks I was going to buy would have felt this good.

Its not that ... this holiday I will be doing more renovations, we are working to get out of here?

I really do want to do the trip but struggle with the idea of my car being dual fuel and how it will go out there?

It will be fine mate. the French line is Not that big a crossing. You will get LPGat Oodnadatta at least, maybe at Mt Dare? leave that tank full and run from there on Petrol. Fill the petrol at Mt Dare and maybe a Jerry on the roof just in case. leave there with a full tank of LPG and full Petrol and a Jerry and you will make it easy.

Total of 436kms from Mt Dare to Birdsville!

Average of 35km/h total driving time of 12 hours! could be done in a day if you needed to but we will be taking it really easy. a couple of rest days.

see this link mate

http://www.exploroz.com/TrekNotes/Deserts/Simpson_Desert_French_Line.aspx

this is not the place to discuss it but that link says 110lt petrol for a 6 cylinder or 80lt of LPG for the same car!. THis IS Doable bud. I'll bloody drag ya ;)
