RB30 gear box and RD28 gear box

the place that sold me a RD28 gear box tells me it will fit a RB30
the mechanic who is going to swap it for me says they are different

who is telling the truth?

Sure will, after all, the rd28 is an rb30 block. I'm also pretty sure the flywheels and clutches are all interchangeable.

And the VL clutch kits fit - are the same - half the price

the argument was that it would be a different gear ratio, the only real difference that i have noticed is that in 3rd it has lost a little , but its hard to tell.
I got a clutch of ebay, was happy with the price
