What do you think they are worth?
About 70% tread and all 5 are evenly worn.

Just toying with the idea and might sell the rims also , black roh rims 16x8 less than a year old...

With or without rims any ideas?

It's more what people are willing to pay I'd say about $500 I personally wouldn't pay more than that myself

With rims I would want to sell them for around 900-1000

How deep is the centre tread?

When you work out a price BA let me know mate. Might even be interested in them for the GUIV as it will be due tyres in the next little while. Don't need them right now but might consider for the right money.

They'd be great for the Meetup in the middle!

Id say the tyres would be atleast 50% of retail so $200 each plus the rims, seeing they normally retail on average $100 each, $90 coz there in perfect nic?? A bit of a wash and some tyre shine the wheels will look new!

Yeah I would ask 1200 with the wheels.

Ive got some brand new 305/70/16 KM2's here, tread depth is at least 14mm measured with a steel ruler.

I sold my brand new (unfitted) 265/75/16 KM2's for $1000 if thats any help.

gee, just made me think, ive owned 2 sets of KM2s and still yet to drive on a set :1087:

Why not trade them in on some tyres of choice, just a thought.
I know heaps of ppl who do it and only pay $600-$700 come new tyre time

I'd be surprised if ya got those prices but if ya can johno upgrade

Bloodyaussie
22nd May 2013, 08:31 AM
Yeah measured mine and they come in at 11-12mm on average at the lowest point.

So about 75% still left to go.. I suppose if I could get close to the $1000 mark then I would consider for the tyres only.

Not sure yet?

Do it get some simex

Bloodyaussie
22nd May 2013, 08:52 AM
No... I am starting to think I might just get some other tyres for playing with and keep these for the big trips and then I still have my Wrangler AT's for road work???

I will just have to save up over the winter?

Run two sets bit of a pain come change time and storage can be problem for some.
But I've found it ok and been running two sets over 20 yrs now, tempted to use
one set only . They day I do will be the day I cursed not having spare set of muddies.
When I change I write on the inside where I took it off from, so when refitted I rotate them.
ATRs for HWY and MTZs for mud ATM, next lot will all be 305s

If selling need to make deal look good compared to new prices, $1000 is a good price for 5 plus rims.
PPL wont want rims as most would already have them, needs to be like me someone who wants to
run 2 sets.

Threedogs Jonathan already runs two sets. But really mate 3 sets? Getting a hit silly yeah? Haha do you actually need something more aggressive than the KM2s or do you just want them?

If you're happy and you know it tap a post!

@ Winnie one set for uphill, one set for down hill, and other set getting to hill, Not rocket surgery lol
Keep most and least aggressive sell 3rd set , 3 sets really BA sometimes you amaze me, sometimes
put money towards front locker

I have 3 sets ;)

35 Extreme Trekkas for the GQ
35 Cooper ST (old style) for the GQ high country and the GU for the beach
285 Khumos on the GUIV as a Daily and touring tyre.

Not sure i could justify 3 sets for 1 car though! 2 sets should be enough! just the RIGHT 2 Sets. ;)

I guess you need to look at how often you go off rd, as this will dictate how often you will be changing tyres around (if you have 2 sets)

I used to try and go off rd almost every 2 weeks, i know im waaaaaay to lazy to be swapping wheels that often, thats half the reason why i went KM2s, as they are supposed to be about as good as muddies get for ON road use

Bloodyaussie

I change and rotate my tyres all the time.. rattle gun and heavy jack and in 10min job is done.

As for me wanting 3 yes I know it sounds excessive but if this is what I choose then I say ......... get a dog up ya!!!!!!!!

I tow all week and wear through tyres a lot on the road so I have to have 2 sets.

Someone needs a hug behind the tyres you know you do
say it,
Thats a lot of tyres to store, but stacked on each other not too bad I suppose

@ MR on that reckoning you better whip out and get 2 more sets in case you need to tow with either
the GQ or GU.

I dunno mate, I paid $450 for my Mickey T's at about 50% and that was a good deal. I sold a set of 50% Buckshot mudders on 15x7 steelies for about $800. A set of KM2's would be snapped up quick.
