The trees coming out of the lake is a Spooky looking spot
Great pics again Buddy especially that Volcanic rock job.
Be great to get there ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,one day.
as theres always a river somewhere

Are the horses left over from WW1 or similar??

My family and my friend from Canada, we made little ride to the lake. As I promising, I post here photos from the Kolsay Lake.
600 km both sides. 2 mountain passes.
Will be 19 photos.

there is one of the permanent fire positions that watching to the side of chines border. There is 250-300 km to China.

I don't think so. There is the end of the road and civilization and electricity wires, no cell phone signal, only bush and mountains for 250 km around.

Is that out post in the last picture manned at all times to watch the boarder?

I don't think so. There is the end of the road and civilization and electricity wires, no cell phone signal, only bush and mountains for 250 km around.

Lots of people would live the seclusion I'm sure

No, they are put into long-term storage but looks like new. There 3-4 thrust girders for machine guns for each. On some heels I saw open pits for tanks and other heavy stuff.

This water from mountain glacier and it is very cold. I saw small and mid size rainbow trouts playing there.
