Another Ebay find that may interest you.
Glow in the dark rope, should be mandatory,
was thinking of spraying any of my camp ropes with flouro paint.
or sliding some one inch pvc pipe over the lower section.
Might get some of this rope and give it a try.

Grab a $2 pack of glow sticks. You can use them on everything from tent strings to fishing rods. Clip one on the zipper of your tent.

EDIT: you can stick some on scotty so you know when hes on a destructive path for your tent lol

You can get bulk fishing glow sticks off flea bay, I think I paid around $15 for 100 of them :-)

A few months ago out camping at the dam, one of the girls from work who hadnt been out with us before turned up, and before she finished her first drink she had tied pretty fluro pink ribbon around every guy rope in the camp. Then proceeded to explain she has a thing against guy ropes when shes drunk.

Didnt help, Im pretty sure they just acted as targets for her...

Had a discussion about this on a caravan and camping forum.
Verdict was its crap.. not uv stable, barely a glow and wore out / broke really quickly..

Bit of a bugga really as its a good idea.

Just get some cheap solar Garden lights and put where the Peg goes into the Ground.

There also glow in the dark pegs now as well, similar to the yellow sand pegs

Never underestimate the power of the Tap.

Might spray some 40mm pvc or similar and use on lower section, but if camp is set up ok you should not be tripping over ropes.
Think its more to do with "wobbly boot syndrome" common at most camps, taking boots off will not fix the problem.

How 'bout an infra red' game camera' to catch the b*&tards that are tripping on the guy wires in the first place?

My guess is push in only.. any hammer time will f up the electrics and then you stuck with a very expensive standard tent peg...
