Following the replacement of all my suspension for the GVM upgrade I
now have a full set of springs & shackles surplus to my needs & would
be happy to donate them to anyone who can make use of them.
Taken off a 2006 Leaf/Coil GU Cab Chassis.
The springs are all Old Man Emu, as fitted by Telstra to my truck. I
believe them to be the heavy duty/constant load springs. Leaf packs
comprise 10 leaves with the three lower ones being thicker than the
rest. It is my understanding that this was a 2" lift kit, however the
new lovells kit I've had fitted is also a 2" lift & sits slightly
higher. I guess this means that the Old Man Emu springs may have
settled a bit, but are still quite useable & the truck handled OK with them fitted.
The shackles are the 'triangular' anti inversion type with greasable
pins. The front pins are also greasable, but a grease nipple has been
broken off one of them.
Because of their size & weight if you want them you will have to come
& collect them. We are about 30kms from Traralgon in Gippsland,
Victoria & could offer somewhere to sleep for the night if your travel
requires this.
Basically I think these springs are still good, but are taking up
valuable space in my shed, so will go to scrap if no one is
interested but am prepared to hang on to them for a bit if someone wants them but can't get here straight away. What I don't want is someone putting up their hand & then not bothering to come, resulting in someone who could use them missing out
I am keeping the OME shocks as spares.
