About the truck:
I have owned this GQ for about 3 or so years. It is a reliable but rough truck which will go most places. The guy I bought it off did the spring lift, 33” tyres and built the drawers. When i Bought it i replaced the rusty window frames with new genuine Nissan rear windows. I added the stereo which doesn’t have a screen but if you hook one up it plays dvds as well as MP3’s, USB stick and CD’s. I had the windows tinted and air con regassed. It was as cold as but is probably about 50% now so could do with a regas. I also put the GME UHF in when i bought it. Also added the skyline steering wheel.
Recently I have done the brakes with new front slotted DBA discs and bendix pads (cost $800 in parts trade) and put the pertronix ignition on it. Other mods I have done since owning it is the VR commodore seats, built a custom cargo barrier to suit the drawers.
The engine was ticking a bit down low when I got it and hasn’t got any worse. Apprently the cam shaft can wear so this could be the cause. The odometer has stopped working but I have probably done 30,000kms or more with no issues from the engine.
It does need a bit of maintenance. It runs fine on LPG but no good lately on petrol. The carby probably needs a reco kit through it and a good tune.
The clear coat on the bonnet is coming off and it has lots of scratches and a few dints from 4wding.
Sad to see it go however I am selling its as I am finally getting a 4wd work car in a few weeks and have too many toys so this one has to go.
Price is $6K with rego until August 2013 - no RWC.
