Awesome to hear. Nah I haven't been out to glassie in this for about 6 months. Haven't had a weekend off work for about 3 months and the troll was off the road before then.

Managed to get Sunday off, so I'm defiantly going out :)

Dumb question: Glasshouse? Whatwherehow?

Not a dumb question, this is a world-wide forum so at least putting [QLD] in the title will help people understand the intent of the topic.

I'm a maybe for this day, all the rain over the Australia Day long weekend will have changed the tracks quite a bit so could be a fairly intense day of wheeling.

Awesome to hear squalo, i was thinking of meeting about 7-8 somewhere. depending on when every 1 is available. (understanding some ppl might be traveling some distance). earlier is better in my opinion beat the heat, and allow plenty of recovery time if needed :P

FlexGQ was on the last Glasshouse drive I was on :)

8am sounds good to me, and the Glasshouse Mtns lookout on Glasshouse-Woodford Rd is a good place to meet and air down. If required, you can get fuel and supplies at the Matilda/SPAR on Steve Irwin Way, just near where Barrs Rd crosses the railway tracks.

If we get any serious rain before Sunday I'm out - don't like ripping up the tracks.

I usually take heaps of drinking water plus snacks plus sandwiches. My 6yo son will be aboard.

Looking forward to it!

Maybe 9am? I don't mind either but not too late a start.

Bit of sporadic rain here (north of Glasshouse), if it stays like this we should be ok for tomorrow.

Completely stock Patrols can go most places at Glasshouse, there's chicken tracks for most of the serious stuff. Having said that, who knows how it's going to look after all the rain on the long weekend... but that's what makes the place magic :)

Wouldn't want to hijack the thread with pics outside of this trip but we Started at raaen rd and went north on left power line all the way to peachester and did some exploring between the lines to the north as I've not spent much time up that way but there are a few good washouts and you can tell its been hammers with rain as alot of rocks are exposed on tracks that are usually like highways

A. Putting my name (plus 2 kids) in for a run on Sunday..fingers crossed.
B. Glasshouse has drained pretty well. I am not hardcore, but have been up there for the last three weeks without destroying the tracks, and its good fun.

Hi Steve - Lee is probably going to come along and King seems to know his way around, so plenty of local track knowledge on hand :)

Easy-ish run for me too - I have my 'good' wheels/tyres on, mainly don't want to scratch up the faces on the good wheels. I'd throw the old battlecarred wheels on but just can't be bothered... I'll probably regret my laziness tomorrow :1087:

Great drive, but of water about but nothing to bad, chicken tracks always help.
The guys were heading into the wettest part when I pulled out .
Should be some good pic and videos of the days efforts.

Lots of vehicles and bike out as well, good day for the kids.

Yeh sorry mate ,as you know im pretty game, but my cam gear stayed in the case im afraid, the conditions just not suited to using it, wet/gritty hands , very slippy surfaces to walk on , lots of mud and water to fall into.

If id not been driving, id have made the effort to get pics as normal, but i honestly struggled to walk the tracks empty handed, let alone run back and forth with the camera.

Was a great day tho, thanks to everyone that went along, we all had a good laugh, plus we didnt do anything too hard , so the lux only needed one recovery !
