Hi All,

Quick and easy fix for tying down the old fridge if it doesn't suit to use the factory tie-down brackets.

Scabbed around the wreckers on the weekend and found some baby seat parcel tray brackets in a Commodore sedan. They're already rated AND come with a nice snap down cover to keep it all looking sweet when not in use:biggrin: . Bolted them to existing floor pan weld nuts. 40 litre Engel fits nicely between the two brackets.

Good work Lowie, was looking for another option myself. Nice idea.

If you have an Engel the travel base is great no need for tie downs, the feet of engel engage the travel base and lock in place.
only need to press one button to remove. I've mounted mine on a sturdy piece of marine ply. Great product IMO, suits 40
and 60ltr fridge from memory

I went to Bunnings and bought some U type brackets and all good :)

Your local 4x4 shop should have bucket loads of discarded OE tiedowns from different models.
They remove them to fit ute liners etc. Dime a Doz IMO ,black, chrome and Gal, some super strong
as well even though not rated would more than likely hold your fridge in place
