We have just bought a second hand 2002 nissan patrol turbo deisel. It is due for a major service and we are looking for somewhere in the brisbane bayside area to get this done. nissan have quoted $1090 but we have heard that we can get it done a lot cheaper. Can anyone recommend a good service centre to take our new baby to?

You could try this link, which you may find handy[URL="http://www.fixedpricecarservice.com.au/logbook/nissan/patrol/"]

Gives you various service centres for the kms your vehicle has done.

Hope this link works and helps you out.

Thanks Garreth. I had a look at the site and have already found a service for $276 less than Nissan quoted me! Awesome!

Paula/Dave - I use a guy in India Street Capalaba after going through about 3 other mechanics over time - he is nothing short of sensational. Does heaps of work on 4wd's, log book servicing, and is one of those genuine "I look everything over" mechanics that are just hard to come by ... company is AutoArt (3245 7785) and the owners name is Derek - let him know Scotty with the grey patrol recommended you (I get no kick back's by the way - not associated with the company in any way, shape or form - just like referring people who do the right thing by me). He did the first full service on mine, new gas switch and gave it the once over (found a few things, but highlighted them only to let me make the decision) for $285.00 and I'm booked in for a 260K service on Monday and to get a new O2 sensor put in ...

All the best.

Doesn't look like they quote for Petrol GQ's, only diesels there. I wonder why that is?
