have to say the shorty is my favourite, these are a little different from my prev fourbys, I've had a couple of range rover classics, both with 351's and C4/C10 conversions, the trolls don't have as much power, but they don't suffer from crappy lucas electrical probs and skyhigh spare parts prices.....

added one of the gas struts to the bonnet tonight, will fit the second on the weekend. will be a little harder as I need to clear the wiring around the master cylinder and make sure that there's enough room to mount the base plate.

the original Mav steering wheeel had lost top grip so I changed it over to an N13 steering wheel from a Twin Cam pulsar...
straight up fit, $20 for the wheel. no more spongey grip....

I like the idea of gas struts for the bonnet. Can you tell me the make and model or did they come as a kit with brackets etc.?
