WOW the way I see it you have 2 choices either get a Patrol boat or get the hell out of there.
Certainly a bit damp up north, Lake Eyre must fill again seeing as Aust is dish shaped.
Stay safe hey bud. rises quick

Got laysion up your way their business gets flooded every time but they live on high ground.
They seem to cope quite well just close up and wait till the water recedes then open up again. They have been there about 40 years by my calculations. Any way I hope every body`s safe and well, possessions can be replaced lives can not.

We're on day 3 with no power in Oxley Brisbane. Was cut off yesterday where we lived couldn't get in or out. I wasn't even game enough to cross the creeks. Got out today 800mm deep crossing took our chest freezer to my sisters so we don't loose our food. Have the gas lights and gas fridge and BBQ so we're right still the power comes on tomorrow. Nice pictures beneboy. Lucky you're up high

We literally just got power back on after 3 and a bit days also ... air conditioning running hard!!!

My family are still all stuck pretty much up north and I know that Ryan's family and property have taken a beating in Bundaberg - best wishes to them!

I've spent the last two days cleaning up the property here also - have tomorrow off to finish it - about 2 dozen trees down (some I'll have to get professionally removed as they're massive and a couple collapsed onto others and hanging precariously - one in particular is close to the house and would be 30 metres tall). Spent about 4 hours simply clearing our driveway (nearly 200 metres long) just to be able to get out of the place - the street is a war zone. Mostly tree damage and some water damage here to heaps of gear we are needing to dump, but all in all, we fared a lot better than most.

I can hear the energex truck packing up out the front road (assume it's still them) and my thanks to them - what a job they must of had - 2 lots of lines down in our street alone! Over 2000 in total apparently.

Hope to see you when the water subsides Benny. Whilst this flood didn't hit Brissy itself as bad, outlying regions were hit even worse than last time, so my thoughts and well wishes go out to them all - must be heart breaking for many to have a supposed "one in a hundred year" flood two years ago, only to have it even worse now.

I'd Tap That!!

A big thanks to Hekarewe (Adrian) also!! Offered up his place for a shower and feed etc for us and the kids whilst all this was going on. Just goes to show along with Megatexture (Troy) that this place is chock full of top blokes willing to help out their mates in times of need.

Greatly appreciated and not forgotten!!

Best of luck to everyone affected. Hope there isn't too much damage or loss and the water goes back to where it came from!

Hey all hope all are safe and well.....we copped it in Aspley.....trees down left right and centre and no power for three days. Spent the long weekend with the chainsaw on the streets. Hope all are well and got the power back on....Needless to say the sunroof in my patrol.....isn't exactly watertight! Headlining now all sodden and so are the kids seats...oh well. It was a lot of water!
