THIS IS NOT A PERMANENT FIX BUT HAS GOT ME GOING AGAIN UNTIL I CAN REPLACE THE PUMP.

Went to start the trol and it made the loudest fan belt screech I have ever heard, so with the help of a good bloke who was passing by we started the prosess of elimination by loosening off the fan belts.....still screeching and with the aircon disconected ment it had to be the steering pump belt. We decided to just cut the belt off as it was old, thats when we seen that the pully would not spin.

Small steering wheel + 35s - pump = hard work driving it home....

This is what I found after opening the back up.

Here you can see some of the slots have notches worn into them.I sanded a bevel on the end of the pin to help it slide past the notch but it didnt work.

There were grooves worn in the sleave part which the pins were catching on.

I carefully die grinded and sanded the grooves out.

I ended up turning the cog over to give a fresh leading side to the slot. Now the slots dont seem to run central they look ever so slightly offset at an angle but it didnt seen to afect the pump working after I put it back in the trol and tested it out.I have a second hand one on order to replace this one but I will run this one for a while and see how it goes.
