I was watching this a week ago. He had it for $1000 then. I would buy it but I'm trying to build funds for imports for my own Ebay store... Bugger, I would buy that too.

Considering its near brand new and it was advertised for $1000 a week ago I would think so. But still very pricey for not much gain IMO.

Yo Mudski is the OE IC on the Di weldable ????

I was lucky I picked up one of these coolers for 800 off a forum member. They are twice the size of standard reduced egt by 50 degrees and helps big time doing the slow work in the bush. Imo was worth 800 when a welded tank job is 400 exchange

I believe the OEM tanks have a rubber seal between the core and tank. But I do also believe they can be welded up. What you thinking?

Macca. Appart from lower EGT's, do you think there is any performance increase? My EGT's are low now, 38c day flogging the bejesus out of my girl up a long hill she'll see no worse than 400c. Around town, around 250c, hiway driving around 200c and below.
I'm really Uhming and Ahh'ing about whether I should go down this track. Maybe if I have the spare cash and one comes up at the right price I'd get one. Maybe.

If you have the cash now and your current cooler leaks a bit. Look for oil spray like mine had was tiny nothing to worry about. If you have the oil spray then id replace it you will feel a slight increase as no boost loss cooler charge temp plus they look horny under the bonnet. Really its a bit of a wank factor but mines a di zd30 im just keeping her cool to be safe. I had 124hp last dyno when I chipped it I haven't done it since the cooler. I'll hit 200 000km this yr and get pump and injector overhaul and 3 inch exhust and see how it goes then

What you think I'm thinking, I'll see if I can get my hands on a RS IC.
YOU KNOW

Yes I know. Your brain ticks the same way as mine....
@macca, my IC does not leak, its' been welded up. This is the last mod left to do no the engine side of things. But am very dubious that its actually going to do anything as my EGT's are really low now compared to most others with Di's.

You know what I'm thinking too? Sounds stupid but its always on my mind. What if I run two IC's together? The top mount and a front mount. Just for "mod" sake. I wonder if that would acheive more than an over priced pint sized radiator on top of your engine. You can buy front mount kits really cheap...

I'm for fmi on sports cars for 4wd not so much mud dirt bugs all block it animal strikes approach and departure angles could damage them. Just my 1.5c worth.

Mudski being turbo as well something else blocking air flow may not help.
mount it in engine bay with a fan on it somewhere.?

Not that I was going to do it, it was just a thought thats been on my mind for a while. I got many other things I need to do way before I would even attempt this. But as usual there's always one thing that seems to get in the way. Money.
