Hi All,

Got a quote on 5 off Mickey Thompson ATZ 4-ribs (285/75/R16s) and 5 off black dynamics rims (16x8) for $2250 including wheel alignment. What are your thoughts on this as a price? Seemed pretty good to me but thought I'd check as the next best quote was $2400 and then $2800 (what the?!).

That sounds good mate! those tyres are around the $350 to $375 fitted and balanced for that tyre size 285/75/16s. Rims are from $90 to $120 per rim. Wheel alignment for 4x4 $90 to $110. Your quote of $2,250.00 is on the money!

RLI

Hi mate - they quoted 340 per tyre and 100 per rim + 50 for the alignment. Bring it on! Next question - do I need the lift before the wheels?

Hi mate - thanks for that. Will I need another alignment after the lift though? Getting them both done in the next week or so - but wondered what makes more sense to do first? Or doesn't really matter?

Don't worry about the alignment if the lift is gonna be fitted in that short period. Maybe ask them if you can get the alignment done at a later date. As long as they are balance it shouldnt be to much of a drama if the lift goes in the next week then an alignment.

Hey RLI - all good. I think Loren likes the mods just as much. Has been pushing me to make it a little less stock and more "mean" in her words. New wheels and tyres today. Had to remove the mud flaps on the front as they were rubbing at full lock. But they look great and are pretty quiet too. Ended up with the Mickey Thompson LT285/75R16 and black rims.

Photos soon.
