Oils ain't oils

When I bought my '05 4.2TD manual it had no owners manual and therefore no spec sheets for recommended oils and quantities.

I do my own changes but dont know what to get and how much.

Need OEM specs for front & rear Diffs, Gear Box, Transfer Case and Engine.

Would appreciate the help if you could get me that info.

Recommended oils from personal experience would also be interesting.

Most of that is covered in the preventative maintenance thread in the general mechanical section. The only one not covered is engine oil. 15w40 spec 12 litres. I use Caltex Delo 400 multigrade. There is a note in the preventative maintenance thread about about oil filters for TD42's.

No problem Macca.
If you're going to get Caltex Delo 400 don't get it from a servo. You can get it much cheaper from places like (IFS)Independent Fuel Supplies, I pay about $85 for a 20 litre drum about half what you would pay at a servo.
