I just did a trip through there too, magic views everywhere we went!
Stayed at Wonnangatta also, as well as Howitt, Horseyard & Talbotville.
Sounds like we did the same route out of Wonnangatta, then to Billy Goat and finished the weekend with Blue Rag.
I can't recommend that area enough! Very well looked after too, you don't need a heavily modified car to see all the sights.

Credit to them, and I saw a few signs around that Macalister 4WD club seem to do a bit of work around there too.

WE did all the river crossing I know we went down Billy goat. then up Zeka spur ? not sure but ended up at some pub
started at Woodspoint, then the Pinicales down to the valley over all the rivers up some huge hill and ended up in Dargo

Best trp If ever done took a heap of O/S tourists. which made it even bettet. One bloke paid for all fuel at Mobil in moe
she/he started freaking out when bowser was showing $700 odd bucks, but the Black Amex sorted that, awesome country
Only just had first OP so must be about 1994.

friends of wonnangatta do an excellent job of maintaning the old sitesNot sure on that roofy, the cemerty was alot better the way it used to be,also im positive some headstone's were moved.Last time i was there which was awhlie ago they had white rocks mapping out the homested and it seemed to me going by some photos that the rooms were to small and was facing the wrong direction.BUT in saying that they do look after the place well.Your right a trip with base camp at Talbertville would be great.

hey chester glad to hear from you hope alls good
mate your right there are less head stones in the cemetry im almost certain there where 5 maybe six
and the homestead is not realy laid out true to form its more of a t shape but over all its still holds the mystery
