What a way to spend remembrance day, I finally got my wife after all these years to come out for the day to sight see and a little 4wding.

We went up to Mt dissapointment to see the waterfall and then across to Tallarook to make our way over to the dam for lunch.

We managed to do about 5 tracks which is very good considering my wife gets very nervous and I also had my 2 year old sone with me for the first time, my daughter is a veteran at the age of eight .

It was so quiet as I think so many went out last weekend so we had the place almost to ourselves.

My wife mags actually did not skip a beat and there were a few small hairy bits to get through and she was not fazed..

I just had one of those days that filled me with so much joy being the first time for the whole family doing what I love most.

Now home watching all the remembrance day stuff on foxtel

Just wanted to share!!!!

You guys went by yourselves? I haven't been up there for years. used to be my fav trail bike haunt. Go up early in the morning, ride for about six hours then head into Wandong for a few frothies. I didn't even know there was a waterfall. I would like to tag along with you one nice Sunday up there with my wife and kids too. Looks like you had a good time. Perfect weather too.

Yeah mate she is my co-pilot with many trips under her belt but today she was in the back seat but I think she was so happy to have mum along for the first time.

A lot of you will meet her next week .

Yeah Mudski the water fall is great after a decent rainfall and would love to organise another family friendly day out again.

Well done mate that's awesome. It makes for such a good day when it's with the whole fam. I try all the time to convince my misses, in the 4 years I have had the troll I have only been able to get her out twice. My now 8yr old used to love it back when she was around 3/4 when I had the bravo. But now can't be convinced.

The dam at the top end of Tallarook down the steep hill.

Yes I worry that my daughter will say she cant be bothered to come out bush with me and I never push her to come, when we go on a farm I let her drive and shoot and she truly loves it.

I know a lot of people cant wait to get away from there families and carry on about the wife but after 18 years I enjoy my wifes company more than I ever have.

Nice one BA,

And how appropriate to do it on a day when we remember those who gave so much, so that we can have the freedom to do these things with our families.

Sent my daughter off to her first school camp today and had to remind her to be humble and not over do her experiences she has in being out in the bush and camping, let others enjoy it without her giving everyone a running commentary on whats next!!!!

She's funny!!!!!!!

Yeah I use to sneak up there after the fires and had the place to my self and set up targets and give the 308 a work out.

That was the first time there in about 3 years??

Try and find the old photo I took of the waterfall back then and the photo I took Sunday.
