hi again all, just wondering???
has any one converted a gu2 4.5l to gas? as they are pretty heavy on petrol around town.
just wanting to know your guys thoughts as we are pretty keen on the idea for fuel economy/rebate etc.
we have heard some of the pros about the idea, are there any horror stories out there? (mass loss of power etc)
our truck is used as a family bus to get us out of town on the weekends beaches etc.
and can any one recommend an approved installer in the south of brissy area.
once again thanking you all in advance ;););)

Hey
My 4500 is on gas im in serious thoughts about changing it back to straight fuel as its hard to get gas at places out of the city and you cant carry lpg in jerry cans but thats just personal preference all i can say is if you get it fitted insist on an OMVL converter 4500 need big gas volume. My 4500 gains slight power on gas but just not suited to us at the moment.

Hi Scott
just a quick question, what is a OMVL converter? im guessing its a heavy duty type of converter/mixer/regulator?
and would this be part of a S.V.I system? once again thanks for your thoughts and input...

yeah its the mixer converter it is designed for big cube engines the gas guy i use runs them on 6litre holdens. i think its a sprint gas system ill check that for sure for you. What a shame your not in WA you could have had my system hahaha. fell free to ask about the system ill try to help as best i can

I would definitely be wanting a VSI (SVI) vapour sequential injection - say it in any order you want, it means the same thing! The systems are so much more advanced than the old 'carby' type systems.
If you're wanting LPG to save money, have you worked out your dollars per kilometer for petrol verse LPG to see if you will actually come out in front considering the cost of installation?
