G'day all,

Guys, im doing some work on a mates 99' petrol/manual GU. Was just wondering what the best oil is for it and if there are any tips or tricks I need to know to refill it.

80W90 gearbox oil.
Tips- pull the fill plug out before the drain plug, because you don't want to drain the oil THEN discover the fill plug is jammed in and you can't refill it!

Thanks Plas, I can't offer much with the GL4/GL5 ratings other than what you have already said.

Bob is my uncle but I haven't seen him in years!

Seriously? i know this post is old and i found it through gooogle...

so the right advice is under the Castrol website and the GU book.
i have a TB45 manual
engine oil: 15W-40
manual transmission: VMX-M 75W-85
auto transmission: ATF DEX III
diffs: EPX 80W-90 (lockers are thicker review my advice on this)
transfer case: ATF DEX III

hope your transfer still going... :)
